Open Classes are offered on an at-large basis to those with a serious interest in psychoanalysis who want to sample classes in psychoanalytic theory or models of the mind or pursue a particular topic of interest.

Many graduates of psychoanalytic and psychotherapy training programs also take advantage of Open Classes to pursue specialized topics, find intellectual stimulation, deepen their understanding of theory, and keep up to date on new psychoanalytic approaches.

This program is offered locally and to distance students. With the exclusions and qualifications noted below, all classes in the Psychoanalytic Education Program and the Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Program are available to Open Classes students.

-Fundamentals Year Classes
-Clinical Case Conferences and classes that contain confidential clinical material

Qualifications
-Required prerequisites must be taken before taking an upper level class
-Students are limited to a maximum of two classes per quarter
