MSW (in progress)
I believe that therapy should be a safe place where an individual can feel comfortable being unapologetically themselves, judgement-free. Psychotherapy can be viewed as a powerful tool to assist those that are assessing the underlying issues in one’s life (both past and present). I strive to make my client’s feel seen and heard by encouraging a client-centered approach to therapy. My approach is one of active listening, compassion, and understanding. The client is in control of their session since they know themselves better than anyone, and I am merely the passenger on the journey with them offering guidance when needed.
I am currently pursuing my master’s degree in social work at Syracuse University online. I understand that looking for a therapist can be nerve-wrecking and a big commitment, however this is a step towards an optimistic and hopeful future. I look forward to potentially meeting virtually or in-person to develop a positive therapeutic relationship.
