Many people enter therapy because they have noticed patterns in their life that they would like to change. I believe we can change the patterns that keep us stuck when we develop a more compassionate understanding of where they came from. In our work together, I am committed to building a safe, collaborative, and caring space where we can explore current experiences and their connection to past events, family history, and important early relationships. Therapy works by helping us encounter ourselves with curiosity and kindness: it is by learning about ourselves that we grow. I come to therapy with a background in qualitative research and an interest in working with people to help them tell their stories. I believe that self-discovery takes place most powerfully in the context of empathic and non-judgmental relationships, and that the therapeutic partnership can be an especially important avenue for this work. I am currently accepting new patients.
