Barr-Harris 50th Anniversary – Leadership Circle

For 50 years, Barr-Harris Children’s Grief Center has been a lifeline for children and families navigating loss.

Honor Barr-Harris’s life-trajectory-changing grief and loss program, its groundbreaking research that documented the long-term impact of early intervention, the community partnerships that make care directly accessible to those who need it most, and the individuals key to Barr-Harris’s success.

Over the last decade alone, Barr-Harris has served almost 3,000 children, adolescents and family members and delivered more than 32,000 hours of individual and group treatment.

The Barr-Harris 50th Anniversary Celebration

Thursday, May 28th – Friday, May 29th

The celebration will include:

  • A CE-eligible 2-day Clinical Conference on Grief and Loss, taught by national experts Dr. Robert A. Neimeyer and Carolyn Ng, as well as Chicagoans José A. Hernández Zeind, MS, LCPC,  Dr. Froma Walsh, Dr. Molly Witten, and Boston-based Dr. Linda Emanuel, offered in-person in Chicago, IL, and online throughout the U.S. and around the world.

  • A celebratory 50th Anniversary Reception, honoring the past and setting the stage for expanded grief and loss treatment in the decades ahead.

Sponsorship Levels

Unused sponsorship tickets will be made available to CPI Candidates, Fellows, Interns, and Barr-Harris longstanding therapists.

The Difference You Will Make:

The example below is for a $5,000 Lead Partner. The other levels scale
accordingly. Gifts of all sizes are appreciated and make such a difference!

3 scholarships for the coursework that deepens clinical skills; or

free schoolyear-long counseling for 2 grieving children and their families; or

2 semesters of clinical supervision for an Intern working at a Barr-Harris office or a Community Partner site—the next generation of grief and loss counseling providers.
