David Edelstein MD is a supervising and training psychoanalyst. He has been active on the Institute faculty for over 30 years. He taught the year-long Freud Theory Course for 12 years. Dr. Edelstein sees patients for both psychoanalysis and psychotherapy and is well-trained in pharmacotherapy for mood and anxiety disorders.
Education:
Dr. Edelstein’s undergraduate studies were at the University of Michigan. He attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and then did an internship at Western Psychiatric Institute in Pittsburgh followed by psychiatric training at the University of Chicago Hospitals. He graduated from the Chicago Institute in 1986.
