Dr. Kohn’s practice includes psychotherapy and psychoanalysis. He draws as needed on a deep background in the related fields of medicine, neurology, pharmacology, group relations and systems theory. Additionally, he provides consultation to businesses and organizations, and medicolegal consultation to parties in litigation. He considers it in the best analytic tradition to approach each situation as new and unique.
Dr. Kohn has a long interest and a wealth of experience in helping people understand themselves grow and learn in the face of challenges. When physical concerns arise, he draws on years of experience in science, medicine and neurology.
Affiliations:
Dr. Kohn teaches at the University of Chicago. Past roles include leadership in education at all levels. For over a decade he chaired the Department of Neurology at Mount Sinai Hospital Medical Center of Chicago.
Education:
He holds degrees from MIT and Yale Medical School and is board certified in neurology. He trained in psychoanalysis at the Chicago Psychoanalytic Institute.
