Thetis Cromie

PhD, LCSW

Dr. Thetis Cromie PhD, DMn, LCSW uses object relations and self psychology models in her work with children and adults, couples and families. Her work includes assessing and treating issues related to abuse, anxiety, complex interpersonal challenges, depression, gender identity, spiritual problems, and trauma. She is also a Training and Supervising Psychoanalyst.

Affiliations:
In addition to serving on the Institute’s faculty, Dr. Cromie is a member of the Chinese American Psychoanalytic Alliance faculty. She holds a professional license in Illinois and is a member of the Chicago Psychoanalytic Society, the Chinese American Psychoanalytic Alliance, the International Association of Psychoanalytic Self Psychology, and the American Board of Clinical Social Work, Board Certified Diplomat.

Education:
Dr. Cromie earned a doctorate from the Divinity School of the University of Chicago and holds master’s degrees from the Divinity School and the School of Social Service at the University of Chicago. Dr. Cromie completed the fellowship program at the Chicago Psychoanalytic Institute to refine her skills. Thereafter, she graduated from the Institute as a psychoanalyst. She holds a PhD from the Institute of Clinical Social Work.
