Wendy Selene

Wendy Selene PhD, LCSW is the Dean of the Chicago Psychoanalytic Institute. She has served as the Institute’s Director of Conferences and Continuing Education and is a member of the Institute’s Psychoanalytic Education faculty. Dr. Selene maintains a private practice in Evanston, IL where she offers psychoanalysis and psychoanalytic psychotherapy. Special interests include early and young adult parent loss, trauma and blocked mourning. 

Affiliations:
Dr. Selene is a member of the American Psychoanalytic Association and serves as a Councilor to the APsaA Board of Directors. She is also a member of the American Society for Psychoanalysis in Clinical Social Work.

Education:
Dr. Selene is a graduate of the University of Michigan and University of Chicago’s School of Social Service Administration. She received her doctorate from the Institute for Clinical Social Work.
